I was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1983. After graduating from Law school, I combined my passion for justice and storytelling into a career in filmmaking. Since 2009, I have collaborated with Wim Wenders as a 1st AD, editor, and cinematographer on various projects.
I am a member of the European Film Academy and the BFS (German Association of Film Editors).
As a director, cinematographer, and editor, I’ve worked on projects for Netflix, The Criterion Collection, AMPAS, Oxfam, Volkswagen Group, BMG, Facebook, Babbel, and Motorola, as well as with artists like Die Toten Hosen, Fabrizio Cammarata, and Etta Scollo. My debut documentary feature, A Black Jesus (2020), premiered at Dok Leipzig, received multiple international awards, and won the German Human Rights Film Award in 2022. I also co-wrote and edited Making 1899, the behind-the-scenes documentary on Netflix's 1899.
Through my company, Wunderland Filme, I produce documentaries, social media campaigns, commercials, and behind-the-scenes content for major clients, including Netflix.
